Maa Shakti Maa Shakti is the eternal force, endless female energy that is at the root of the changing world.  It because femininity, for its Motherliness & kindness, is the sustaining teleological principle that heeds the basic needs of neon which are spiritual. Maa Durga is a manifestation of Goddess Shakti and is worshipped and celebrated by Hindus in all over India.

Navaratri is a festival dedicated to the worship of the Hindu deity Durga. Navaratri is a nine night festival that honors the Mother Goddess in all her manifestations, including Durga, Lakshmi and Saraswati.

Navaratri this year- In 2017, Navaratri starts on 21st of sep 2017 to 30th sep 2017

Celebration- The festival is celebrated all over India in different ways. The most flamboyant and renowned Navaratri celebrations can be seen in western India, throughout the state of Gujarat and in Mumbai. In West Bengal, Navaratri and Dussehra are celebrated as Durga Puja.

How it help mankind– However, Navaratri is not only significant for spiritual aspirants; it has a message for those who lead a worldly life as well.

They should invoke Durga’s help to surmount obstacles, pray to Lakshmi to bestow peace and prosperity, and contemplate upon Saraswati in order to gain knowledge. These three are necessary for a full and complete worldly life for the mankind.

The last among the nine Avtar of Maa Durga, Maa Siddhidatri, is worshipped on the 9th day of Navaratri.

Origin– The supreme Goddess of Power, Adi-Parashakti, appeared in the form of Siddhidatri from the left half of Lord Shiva. She is the possessor of 26 different wishes(Siddhis) which She grants Her worshipers. The legend has it that the Lord Shiva got all those Siddhis by worshipping Maa Shakti.

Iconography  Goddess Siddhidatri sits on Kamal and rides on the lion. She is depicted with four hands. She has Gada in the one right hand, Chakra in the other right hand, lotus flowesr in the one left hand and Shankh in the other left hand.

All human beings should revere Goddess Siddhidatri to achieve absolute perfection. And this is only possible if one pays heartily adherence toward Goddess Siddhi-datri.
