Lakshmi Jayanti

Lakshmi Jayanti is celebrated by the devotees to celebrate the birthday of Goddess. Lakshmi jayanti falls in the month of Phalgun on the full moon day and hence is also referred as PhalgunPurnima. On this day all the devotees worship the Goddess of wealth and prosperity with full dedication and devotion. This year the Lakshmi Jayanti will fall on 5th  March, 2015. According to Hindu mythology, it is believed that Goddess Lakshmi appeared when the churning of ocean SamundraManthan was done. Goddess bless those devotees who are clean form their mind and soul and does not keep jealously and ego in their mind. People who are corrupted from their mind and don’t allow anyone to earn more money than them, Goddess get angry from them and give them a punishment.

 

People celebrate the Jayanti by placing the idol of Goddess in the Pooja room and then lightning the diya in front of the Goddess. After that, the abhishekam of the Goddess is done by putting sindhoor or roli on the forehead of idol and then offering garlands on the foot of Goddess. The sweets are also kept for the bhog and then aarti is started, after the aarti is finished the sweets are offered to the devotees, so that they get the blessings of the Goddess.

 

Goddess Lakshmi pooja is considered to be very beneficial as all the financial sufferings and threats are removed by the Goddess. This pooja helps people to excel in all the spheres of the life and also brings boon for the riches. The materialistic happiness is also achieved. People are required to do the pooja with full dedication and devotion so that Goddess remains happy and can help out in all the problems of the life. Goddess Lakshmi help their devotees by giving them good amount of wealth and happiness. Goddess is more pleased by the mantras followed by all the rituals and offerings. If the Goddess is made happy then all the desires of the life are fulfilled. People who require the spiritual knowledge are also given by the Goddess. Both the mental and spiritual peace is also achieved.
