Festival of Vaishakh Month
In 2015, the Sankranti will fall on 14th Januaryray and is referred to as Vaishakh Sankranti. On this day the planet Sun will enter into the zodiac sign Aries. During this day the donation is being given to the poor people and is given in proper Mahurat. The Mahurat period for the donation is from 07:05 to12:25 . It is also believed that taking a bath at holy place is very beneficial because all the problems of the life are being drowned in water and the devotee is blessed with happiness, wealth, good health and all the comforts of the life.
There are more festivals that falls during the Vaishakh month and that are: Kamada Ekadashi, Mahavir jayanti, Lord Hanuman Birthday, Ganesh Chaturthi, Vallabhacharya Birthday, Lord Pashuram Birthday, Akshaya Tritiya and Mohini Ekadashi.
This festival will be celebrated on 31st march 2015 and people keep fasts on this day. All the desires and wishes of the devotee are fulfilled if the fasts are being kept with full devotion, dedication and faith. It is also believed that keeping these fasts will bring the peace and harmony in the life of an individual. During this day, people should avoid eating the food and should take the fruits and that to only one time. People worship Lord Vasudev on this day and all the proper rituals are being performed and the fruits are offered to the Lord. On this day devotees should also sleep on the ground near the idol of the Lord Vasudev.
The festival of Mahavir jayanti is generally celebrated by the Jain religion. This year this festival will be celebrated on 2nd April 2015. People celebrate this festival with great zeal and visit the Jain temples on this day. At most of the places the fairs are also organized for the five days and in the fair some of the activities are performed by the people. The idol of Mahavir is re-established again in the temple and the temple is decorated with candles and lights.
This festival is dedicated to Lord Hanuman and on this day the birthday of Lord Hanuman is celebrated. This year this festival will be celebrated on 4th april 2015. It is celebrated in the month of the Chaitra during Purnima of Shukla Paksha. People who are the devotees of Lord Rama and Lord Hanuman for them this day is very important. They decorate the Hanuman temples and perform the puja by enchanting the Hanuman Chalisa.
On this day the birthday of Lord Ganesh is celebrated and this year people will celebrate this day on 17th septmber 2015. On this day the Lord Ganesh is worshipped first before worshipping any other god. People celebrate this day to remove all the problems of their life and to achieve the fame, wealth and prosperity back in their life.
On 25th April of this year the Varuthini Ekadashi Vrata is observed and the fast on this day without drinking water gives the most favourable results to thee devotees. There are 25 to 27 Ekadashis. This fast is kept by the people to please Lord Vishnu. The donation is also done on this day and the things that are donated on this day are cows, clothes, umbrella etc.
Lord Pashuram Birthday
The Lord Pashuram is considered to be the sixth incarnation of Lord Vishnu and is the symbol of patriotism, unity, bravery and sacrifice. The birthday of Pashuram will be celebrated on 1st may, 2015.
This festival will be celebrated on 21st april 2015 of this year and it is believed that whatever things are bought on this day remains with the person for his/her entire life.
Mohini Ekadashi Vrat
This Vrat will be observed by the devotees on 29th april 2015.
